A twist on the classic mojito recipe. The cucumber and palm sugar add more energizing B-vitamins.
GINGER BLUE MOCKTAIL - Makes one 12oz drink
Ingredients
1 tsp - frozen or fresh BC Blueberries (if frozen, take out 10 - 30 mins in advance)
1/4 - cucumber, peeled and chopped into small cubes
1 tsp - chopped candied ginger or grated fresh ginger
1 tsp - palm sugar or blueberry jam or jelly
2-3 oz - crushed ice
soda water
Directions
Combine all ingredients in the bottom of a sturdy cup or mug.
Using a muddler squish all ingredients, except soda water, together for about one minute. (You can add mint if you’d like for a more classic twist).
Top up with soda water and serve.
SHELTER POINT MARTINI - Makes one drink
Ingredients
2 oz (60 mL) - Shelter Point Hand-Foraged Botanical Gin
1 oz (30 mL) - Esquimalt Dry Vermouth
Dash - Bittered Sling Orange and Juniper Bitters
Lemon twist and/or olives for garnish
Directions
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a small cocktail glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist or olives or both.
